When and why did you become a wedding Videographer?

We started filming weddings in 2000 after we were approached by a wedding venue to shoot a promo for them, some couples saw or work and then asked if we would film their big days. We loved the emotion and detail of the day and being able to tell a story around the video footage and audio we got.

Do you feel your business and the videography business has changed in the last few years? Yes clients are seeing better work all the time and the narrative story is becoming a central part of the main feature edit

Do you feel your business and the wedding videography business has changed in the last few years?

Yes clients are seeing better work all the time and the narrative story is becoming a central part of the main feature edit.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?

The bridal preparations.

What is the greatest challenge being a wedding videographer?

Getting great emotions.

What is your method for shooting a wedding/how do you remain discreet?

We film as naturally as we can allowing couples to enjoy their day. the more relaxed they are, the better our film. We keep as much distance as we can.

What eqiupment do you use on a typical wedding day?

DSLR cameras with a combination of sliders, hand held and Glidecam when needed.

What software do you use to edit and why?

Premiere Pro CC. I’ve also used Adobe products so it just seemed a natural choice for us.

Have you won any wedding awards or would you like to win any awards?

We've won our region in the Wedding industry awards 2013 which was the last time we entered, and also Highly commended 2012. Awards are great but never a level playing field as not everyone wants to enter which means you can never be a true winner. saying that, there great for branding, SEO and getting your name out there!

When you send the final cut to your clients, how do you feel at that precise time?

Nervous that they'll love our vision of their special day.

Any advice for wedding videographers just starting their own business?

Work as team with other vendors especially photographers as its not a competition, you’re there to work for the couple. Team work is always easier on the day!

Can you name other videographers that you respect, admire?

Sharrone Chris at Fiore Films
