It was a superb wedding with at a fabulous venue. A truly amazing wedding day!
How did you get into wedding photography?
I always looked at wedding photos and thought I could transfer my documentary photography skills to wedding photography. I photographed a few weddings for friends and things just got busy form there. I am now a full time wedding photographer.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
Full time for 5 years now.
Can you share how you’ve made your wedding photography business a success?
It’s a really competitive business and you need good friends and family to support you. You have to work very hard and be very good AND very importantly be very lucky!! Keep learning and never think you know it all.
Any mistakes you made along the way? I made a lot of mistakes. The biggest was buying gear I didn’t need. Only buy equipment you need not because someone else has those things.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?
They should look for a photographer who will give them the best images and is a person they would be happy to have at their wedding. After all they spend a lot of time with the wedding photographer…

Word of mouth has really worked for me and some magazine advertising.

Solid word of mouth, and if they’ve met me they feel comfortable with me and love my work!

St Lucia or Koh Su Mui.

What is the most challenging thing about a wedding?
Wedding are all fun and happy occasions, nothing challenging about them at all.

Not really, I just enjoy it with the couple and make sure I give them super memories.
