Wedding Photographer Samantha Pennini
I am a Wedding photographer from Tuscany. I like my job because it allows me to meet and make friends with the people I work for. I like to capture the joyful atmosphere of the wedding day and the feelings that the bride & groom have for each others.
Ten years ago we photographed the couple’s wedding day. Ten years later, we took this picture on the day of their 10th anniversary celebration. This time they were with their two childrens and, as I was shooting in a beautiful country location, I wanted to portray the family growth, just like the trees around them were quietly doing.
At the end of the shoot I realized the light was beautiful and the atmosphere was the one I was looking for.
They were already in position for another shot, I only asked them to turn their heads and look on their side. Then I lay on the ground and switched my camera to my old canon 5d, which happened to have a 50mm lens on. The photo was taken at 1/400s, f1.8, ISO100
I didn’t need to meter, as I’m frequently shooting in this kind of light and I knew the settings were good. The family immediately liked the result. An enlargement is now waiting to be hanged on their living room wall.
