How did you get into wedding photography?

I studied Psychology at Uni but there wasn’t any work to be found afterwards. It forced me to re-think what I wanted to do, someone told me I’ve got the eye for photography and the rest is history.wedding photographer devon fiona walsh

Can you share how you’ve made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way

Being warm to my couples, constantly studying photography techniques, where photography is moving, studying SEO, updating equipment and website. Most of all it’s about the rapport I develop with my couples, being interested in their day and giving them the best I can be.wedding photographer devon fiona walsh

What is the most challenging thing about a wedding?

Sometimes there isn’t much time for the photos. I have to think fast, capture emotions, be creative, and be perceptive in a split second whilst entering the settings I think will work for what’s in front of me. I get excited about what might happen next.wedding photographer devon fiona walsh

Do you have an approach to a wedding?

My approach is to be warm and friendly, put people at ease as most people don’t like their photo taken. I try and gel in with the wedding party and like to get natural, romantic, and fun images.wedding photographer devon fiona walsh

Who or what inspires you?

Love inspires me. Capturing a moment that gives a person a feeling of value, showing them how beautiful they are inside and out.

Secondly, capturing something really creative inspires me too. I love to intrigue people with an image.wedding photographer devon fiona walsh
