Wedding Photographer Igor Gerasimchuk
Ekaterina, the bride, one of my favourite models, we’ve know each other for a long time. We had a few photo sessions for Inked magazine in the past.
So when she decided to get married, of course, I became photographer. The wedding was in the winter, about -18 degree. But the bride was posing without a coat, because she had a great tattoo that she wished to show off. So after about 20 min we decided to take a break and I gave her a blanket to wrap around herself to try and keep warm. Immediately I spotted this shot, with the striking colour of the blanket and beautiful eyes. I asked her to look at me and this shot was born.
Camera: Canon 5d III
Lens: EF 85 1.8
Post processing lightroom (for contrast) + photoshop (for skin retouch)
Shot at Kolomenskoe Park in Russia.
The Select Bride’s Thoughts
We just love this shot. We can feel how cold it is & how beautiful the bride is. The strong contrast between the blanket and the face makes the image pop.
