Wedding Photographer Andrea Cofano
The bride’s arrival is always an important moment, rich in emotions that have to be captured.
In every wedding this moment is different and unexpected. The photographer has the burden to catch this fleeting moment and anticipate its emotions.
I was in Sermoneta (a medieval village in Latium) to tell the story. I was waiting for the car that would bring the bride to the Duomo, the groom waiting and relatives also waiting for the beginning of everything. There isn’t much to think about, often all the things are related to the moment, the car can stop in another place, the light is not how we like, but the idea of the picture is already in my mind … the bride arrives and is surprised, she can be moved, she can hide herself or smile for joy as in this case.
I worked with F 2.8, to have a narrow shot depth and enhance the portrait of the bride, and I used a fast time to freeze the arrival of the car.
Then I processed the image with Camera Raw and Photoshop to calibrate colors and light.
The shot was taken with:
Nikon 24/70 mm f 2.8
Focal length : 36mm
Exposure time 1/640
No flash fired
