Wedding Photographer Eugenio Luti
Monza, Italy
Eugenio Luti was born in Milan in 1981. After taking his artistic high school degree, he graduated in photography in 2004 at the European Institute of Design in Milan. In the same year he began to work for the photojournalism agency LaPresse and became a professional photographer.
Eugenio was strongly attracted to the world of fashion and he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to collaborate with one of the most famous Italian photographers, Sergio Caminata. During this collaboration which lasted 5 years, Eugenio had the opportunity to work with brands such as Armani, Valentino, Tod’s, Converse and many others, as well as fashion magazines from all over the world.
At the same time Eugenio had the opportunity to spend a few months in New York, where he discovered wedding reportage, getting in touch with the style and images of American photojournalism. What makes his images unique is his ability to capturing each moment in all it’s elegance, utilising a strong reportage style.
During his career he has acquired strong knowledge and technical skills which helped him open his own studio in 2009 in Milan: Eoswedding Studio.
Eugenio Luti:
“For me this shot is the final moments of the makeup preparations and just a few moments before putting on the dress. This shot helps to ease the tension by making it an image of pure aesthetics.
“When I saw light and shadows coming from the window, I realized the shot in my mind, thinking that it was a good idea to present the moment in this way, giving relevance to last moments of the make-up preparations by enhancing the silhouette. The reportage style requires a photographer to catch every relevant moment of the day and to always be prepared. I always move around the room looking through the camera checking the best angle to enhance the situation and the expressions of the bride or groom.
“To realize this photo I focused my attention on the bride, setting a shorter exposure in order to lose the details in the shadows that the light created on the face. The post production is a relevant step to achieve this result. It helped to fully express the shot that I had in my mind by enhancing the colour and the atmosphere.
The shot was back lit and taken with a Canon 5d Mark III, 1/2500 1.4 ISO 100, 50 f1.4
I love this shot because for me it captured all the tension of the bride before putting on the dress.”
The Select Bride’s Thoughts
A striking silhouette of a bride applying her make-up. Amazing colours that make this image pop. Fantastic.
