I'm a former journalist who decided to follow a passion for photography and documenting love. I want to create memories for my clients and tell their love history with my images.
Wedding Photographer Romania. photoCHIC shares a wedding photography technique.
At Wedding Photography Select, we don't just want to show you the best images from the best wedding photographers around the world. We want to tell you a little story behind them as well. The idea, the execution, the result. As this section grows, we want to give you an in depth description of each of the shots taken by some of the very best wedding photographers. We hope it proves to be inspiring and insightful.
We are Gabriela and Marius working together as wedding photographers under the name of photoCHIC.
I can't say we can be 100% on our wedding photography style, because we like to say it's a hybrid one. Coming from the photo journalism side (Marius worked about 6 years for some Romanian media companies) our pyramid solid base is documenting the wedding without interfering in our clients actions, but knowing and trying to understand the couples as best we can. Over the years we've created a style, a bit of chic fashion and portraiture. We've come to the conclusion that our main style is to have happy brides. :-)
We were at Sinaia's Casino, a wonderful Romanian venue for weddings, with this beautiful couple. We knew that they were so tender one to each other so their pose was very natural. Gabriela guided them a little on how to stand to look better. We had a flash with a yellow colored gel from behind because we wanted to have a nice back light and to keep the mood. I used winter tree lights just in front of my 85 mm lens giving the beautiful effect in the foreground. We told him to say something nice to her and you see in the picture that moment we captured for them. :-)
So the EXIF looks like that: camera/ Canon 5D Mark II, lens/ Canon 85 mm/f 1.2, ISO/ 800, shutter speed 1/100, F stop/2.8, Manual mode, one flash on manual mode fired, metering mode: spot.
