The idea of getting the bride and groom in silhouette during their first dance was always a goal of mine before off camera technology became as good as it is now.
Having a my flash stationed behind the bride and groom with my pocketwizard set on manual along with my Canon 5DmkII on manual I took a few shots to get the balance correct.
Once set I waited till the DJ threw some dry ice smoke onto the dance floor which made his blue strobe lights give that blue tone through the smoke.
Simple yet very effective. Timing is everything.
