This photograph was shot in a restaurant called La Dida. Sara & Alex were the gracious couple and this was one of the lasts shots of the day, after the meal and the entertainment.
I was having dinner looking around the room and noticed this wall lit up. I immediately thought I had to take a shot there, but had to wait for the couple to have their first dance. When everyone was ready I asked the staff to darken the room and to give me a little space to shoot. The lighting and wall went through various colour cycles and I had to wait as I wanted the silhouette against a deep red.
The shot was fairly straight forward with some difficulties. The wall only had 1 source of light and it was back-lit, enhanced by darkening the room.
We tried various different poses, the final result is the image below because I liked the position of their bodies and hands.
I have to say I am pretty pleased with the results, I've used some curves adjustments in the post work and that's it. The image has won me 5 international awards so far. If I ever shoot at the same location again I'll try to challenge myself to come up with something different.

I decided to stay later at this wedding having seen that the sky had the potential to be dramatic and colourful as dusk fell. I kept checking the lighting and sky through a couple
