My name is Matthew Gonzalez, born and raised in Chile. As a child I had an interest in the arts especially photography, some time ago I am dedicated myself to weddings and today I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina . I like to express passiona dn my creative vision through my work.
This photograph in particular was taken during Joseph and Paulette's wedding. A Jewish and the Arabic wedding, it was an incredible marriage full of excitement, sensuality and effervescence. As you know marriages that are based on these religions are intense and unique things can happen in this case the picture I took of the bride while dancing an Arabic dance and Jewish Groomsmen around her. The space was just so I had to make the decision with 16-28 f2.8 and to get as close as I could to embrace the moment.. I got as close as possible and decided to grab my camera and shoot, her arm was almost touching the lens how I imagined it and got focus on the arm giving the image detpth. After taking the shot, I was then asked just to stay and dance and enjoy the moment.
Seeing the photo in post I just applied a small amount of color correction.
The most difficult decision was to shoot without seeing the viewfinder as I had raised my arms in the air to take the shot to get the depth and style of picture you see.I love the detail through the hand of the bride you can see her eyes and her dress .
I like the picture and it was a shot where you had to be in the right place at the right time, not only that getting the right feel to compliment the shot you see today.
