Massimiliano Magliacca
My name is Massimiliano Magliacca, I’m a photographer based in Rome.
I started my adventure as a photographer about 25 years ago by creating portraits of people on the move.
I love the photojournalistic style because it allows me to capture real moments and real emotions that happen between the couple and the people around them on their wedding day. I want to provide photos with a wonderful memory.
This photo I shot in Sicily, more precisely in Tripi. It was a very cloudy day in December.
The bride and groom were very anxious about the time and the weather continued to deteriorate, I felt in the church that the rain was coming.
On leaving the couple were forced to take cover under an umbrella and ran to the car for shelter.
At the precise moment I saw the light of the street lamp emphasizing the drops of water that moved in the wind, I went under the water and waited for the bride and groom to pass before taking the shot.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D3S, Nikon lens 35 mm 1/4, aperture of f/2.8, time 1/125, ISO 5000.
This is one of my favorite photos in motion.
