At Wedding Photography Select, we don't just want to show you the best images from the best wedding photographers around the world. We want to tell you a little story behind them as well. The idea, the execution, the result. As this section grows, we want to give you an in depth description of each of the shots taken by some of the very best wedding photographers. My clients were keen to get some outside stuff done at The Houses of Parliament where they had their drinks reception, however as much as its an iconic building etc, the outside space where you are allowed to go (security) wasn't lending itself to getting the most of the Spring London Sunshine (it was shot in late March)
When we got to The Reform Club in Pall Mall featured in the James Bonds films 'Die another Day' and 'Quantum of Solace', we were told they was no outside space, however after shooting some stuff inside we noticed a back door exit into the garden (a lot of London's gardens are under lock and key as residents get to use them exclusively)
It mattered not anyway, we were now outside so I quickly looked for a suitable spot to shoot into the sun from. I pretty much left my clients to have a bit of a canoodle to themselves whilst I stared into some pretty harsh sunlight.
I knew what I wanted but in all honesty I couldn't see that clearly (because of the sun) so there is very much an element of luck with it. I shot five frames and this was the fourth.
I then shot a few more frames from the other side before hastily jumping back into The Reform club trying to cover up the fact I now had mud on my knees.
