We don't think too much about places before shooting a weddings, but about the people we are supposed to capture on the wedding day.
Every little thing we know about them can become our inspiration. Of course, we use not only what we know, but also what we see, feel or imagine about those people.
This photo is a perfect example. We knew the bride would appreciate this kind of feminine, delicate image. We felt she needed a few minutes to process her own thoughts and enjoy the magic of that day. So we stepped back and imagined a photograph that would remind her someday the happy thoughts she had that moment, the mysterious atmosphere, the emotion-filled room.
My partner used an 85mm, I used a 24mm. We both considered the 24mm did a better job that time, because it was able to tell a more interesting story.
