Emotions, feelings and moments are very important to me as I've been working as photojournalist for 10 years. But aesthetic value has the same importance as I am actually also an artist. I finished my studies in graphic art in a fine art university in Veliko Tarnovo. So I constantly try to catch the moments, the emotions and the essence behind the people and situations but in the most beautiful and artistic way as I can. I use only prime lenses so I carry three full frame bodies on me, two 5D Mark III with 24mm 1.4 art, 35mm 1.4 art, 50 1.4 art, 85mm 1.4 and one Sony A7 with Voigtlander 15mm. f4.5 This isn't physically easy since I'm usually covering 10 and more hours per day. I think my web portfolio helps me to find couples who are looking for such a natural kind of looking artistic reportage approach.

In this situation in an orthodox church the best man has to change three times the crowns over the couples heads and usually photographers cover this situation catching the couples faces, but the situation is much more challenging and a lot harder/nerve racking for the best men so in this case I shot to get his face framed by couples heads and catch this really colourful expression. I'm happy with this decision as this point of view gave me this so strong moment to catch. The shot also won 1st place in the ISPWP contest.

I edit my images in Lightroom as I'm not adding or removing anything from my photographs to keep the story behind the photos real. I made some colour corrections, some curve contrast adjustments and added some grain.
The shot is taken in "sv Troica" Orthodox Church in Ruse, Bulgaria
