My name is Reza Shadab, I was born in 1974 in Tehran and have lived in Germany since 1999. My passion for photography is large and diverse. I shoot portraits, fashion and weddings these are my main strengths and passions. My pictures are 'different' to other wedding photographers. No image is 'off the shelf' but each are individual to the customer and the situation. For me, an image must be visually attractive and convey emotions and feelings.I love the challenges and the unusual.

When I shoot weddings I mainly travel alone, and I try to tell the story of the wedding day through my photography. I capture the wide range of emotions and the joy of life that are experienced at a wedding.

The picture was taken on a hot summers day on August 29th at around 8pm. The couple wanted a photo shoot after the wedding, but then on their wedding day some of the timings went wrong and there wasn't time because the day was fully planned out and there there was no time left. I saw the sunset and I just couldn't let the moment pass. I managed to kidnap my newlyweds for a brief moment and capture a beautiful moment in front of a beautiful sunset.

I used the following camera settings:

Focal Length 35mm
Objectively 16-35 F2,8USMII
Aperture 4.0 +2.6
ISO 100
Flash: No
White Balance: Auto
Appeal: Canon EOS 5DIII

I want the bride and groom I shoot for to be thrilled with final work presented to them. That's why I find the three aspects that play a very important role. Firstly the right light, secondly the newlyweds, allowing ideas of the wedding photographers to implement their thoughts and ideas and thirdly, the moment, which is captured/captivated by the wedding photographer.

There is one question I get all the time about this image - is it a double exposure? It’s not. In fact it’s a very straightforward image but I think people like it be
