Wedding Photographer London Minna Rossi Photography shoots a wedding at Marriott Hotel, County Hall,London, United Kingdom
Real weddings from real wedding photographers & real couples around the world.
Tell us a little about yourself??Hi, I’m Minna, a friendly female wedding photographer based in London, but shooting weddings across the UK. I love beautiful details and capturing candid portraits as well as all the fun and silly things people do.
How do you think or would like people to describe you?Someone who made them feel at ease and capture their special day as it happened whilst letting the wedding party enjoy themselves. A wedding photographer who gives them some very beautiful memories and quirky creative images :)
Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?Ellen and Lewis had planned a truly elegant wedding at the beautiful Marriott County Hall with the amazing Biba dress, classic colour combinations and vintage style jewellery.
However, the day itself was really relaxed and fun as they are such a down to earth, laid back couple. I loved the quirky little details; they had a Westminster themed purple and black wedding cake, a caricaturist to entertain the guests in the evening and the couple had chosen Pharrell's 'Happy' as their first dance!

How did you get into wedding photography?I was shooting portraits and events already and thought it would be something I would enjoy doing.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?A couple of years now.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?Couples often comment how they love the natural style of my wedding photography, and how it's a whole mixture of beautiful detail shots, candid portraits and funny moments.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?I think it's really important to find a photographer whose style you like and who you 'click' with.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?-
Why do you think people hire you?Couples often comment how they love the natural style of my wedding photography, and how it's a whole mixture of beautiful detail shots, candid portraits and funny moments.
How many weddings do you average per year?-
Whose wedding would you love to shoot?I'm not really interested in capturing famous peoples weddings, but rather quirky couples and their eclectic, unique weddings.
If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?Japan. I love the culture, people, food, street style etc. and it's been on my must visit list for ages!
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?Camera bodies, lenses, lights, stands, all the usual kit.
What is the most challenging thing about a wedding.
Do you have an approach to a wedding? Not really: every wedding is different as every couple is unique so I like to find out as much as I can beforehand about the couple, their plans for the day and what kind of photography they like.
Who or what inspires you?Visual artists, music, films, but also on the day bouncing ideas off with the couple and their guests, seeing what happens naturally.
Best & Worst marketing idea so far?-
If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?I'd make images in other ways; painting, print making, finger painting if need be, haha..
Share your favourite image of the day and why?We had a bit of fun with the group portraits despite quite a formal "look": Ellen is a dancer and had this "flying through the air" shot in mind so she just threw it in there -and I loved the idea of it! It's great to get the expected formal shots, but also the ones where you can have a bit of fun and show the personalities of the couple more.
Do you have any goals for the future photography related or otherwise? To keep trying out new ideas and keep shooting fun weddings in glamorous, interesting locations.
What do you think is key to being a successful wedding photographer? To love what you do :)
Are there any other wedding photographers whose work inspires you, can be a well know photographer or somebody you've stumbled across?-
Proudest moment so far. Photography related or otherwise?-
