Tell us a little about yourself??Wedding photography is what I am very passionate about & I love photographing weddings. I live in Marbella Spain and photograph weddings all over Spain, Ireland & International destinations & I also maintain an office in Dublin, Ireland.

Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?A beautiful wedding in a fantastic venue nestled between the olive groves just out side Granada Spain. The blessing was in the small chapel on site with party celebrations in the beautiful courtyard setting.
Leah and Cameron were a fab couple madly in love which emanates from so many of their photographs. Leah really wanted to capture some big images and use the surroundings of the venue and was prepared to put on the trainers for some portraits. I love it when couple are enthusiastic about the images and the results were fantastic.
How did you get into wedding photography?I always had a strong interest in photography and worked alongside some of the worlds best cinematographers for many years prior to photographing weddings.
I was asked to photograph a friends wedding because of my film background which led on to another wedding and the wedding photography journey began.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?In 2010 when I decided to specialise in weddings and rebranded, rebuilt a website and started to carve out and find my own style.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?Constantly looking for creative inspiration helps, trying new techniques, looking at weddings from new and different perspectives. hard work of course. spending the time required at all the administration,marketing,researching,accounting etc is also an important necessity for the modern wedding photographer.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?Looking for images that move them, images that strike a chord or have some sort of impact is the first step in finding the right photographer. The photographer you chose to capture your wedding should make statement to you through their images, whether it is an emotional one or as simple as 'wow! they are beautiful images.'
No two photographers are the same and once you have a connection with a photographers website you should book them up straight away.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?Online, web directories, associations, wedding planners and venues
Why do you think people hire you?A combination of admiring the images on my site and liking my style along with referrals and recommendations also play a part.

If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?Iceland, India,Alaska the list goes on.
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?2 x canon mk3 bodies,prime lenses,macro lens,flashes,triggers,continuous lighting.
What is the most challenging thing about a wedding.
Do you have an approach to a wedding?I always meeting with couples, always working out timings and preparing as best I can.
Entering a wedding with my eyes wide open and my mind clear and creatively focused really helps in submerging myself into the wedding day.
Who or what inspires you?All types of photography & cinema good and bad, my wife and my kids.
Best & Worst marketing idea so far?Advertising in certain magazines was definitely bad marketing
If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?Something in the creative field.
Share your favourite image of the day and why?I love this one of them embracing and looking away from camera. We stepped into the vast golden field and i hadn't quite settled when i looked up and saw this frame, naturally they had come together and were having an intimate moment together looking out at this beautiful backdrop.
Do you have any goals for the future photography related or otherwise?Keep on improving, experimenting, learning and become a stronger photographer.
What do you think is key to being a successful wedding photographer?Keep on loving what you do, improving, experimenting, looking and learning along the way.
Are there any other wedding photographers whose work inspires you, can be a well know photographer or somebody you've stumbled across?Many others inspire me, way too many to mention.
