Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?By being constant in my final product delivery and delivering super client service. Mistakes there was a few, but not learning the business side of matters as much as I put into growing my photography skills was my biggest mistake. Find the balance between that and you have a much better chance!
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?Make sure you meet up or at least have a phone conversation with your photographer before the big day to make sure your personalities are a good match. Set aside some time to have a look at as many of your photographers work and not only their portfolio, you want to see weddings from A to Z. Make sure you are happy with the style of photography you choose. Ask your photographer about their career history and who will be there covering your day. Make sure your photographer has “Professional Insuranceâ€, this is very important as some venues won’t even allow your photographer to enter their property without that in place. Last, but not least keep in mind you are not only booking your photographer for on the day, but they will be spending countless hours after your day perfecting and creating the final product, average +/- 42 Hours in total including your wedding day.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?I make use of wedding blogs that I like style wise and use a high standard of service providers, but most of all WORD OF MOUTH!
Why do you think people hire you?Like my name says I keep it simple, the day is about the couple and with planning and experience we can be there on your day doing what needs to be done and having fun at the same time.
