Tell us a little about yourself??
I worked as a cameraman for TV news in Spain for 12 years before becoming a photographer, so I have taken the same photo journalistic approach in wedding photography.Awarded member of ISPWP and Fearless Photographers, father of 2 lovely kids and avid traveler.

How do you think or would like people to describe you?
People usually describe me as a calm person, attentive listener, passionate and perfectionist.
Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?
Cristina and Miguel chose a beautiful country house near a lake, where they celebrated ceremony, the reception and the party.Luckily for me the wedding photography was one of the priorities of the couple, so I had creativity freedom and they happily accepted all my suggestions.

How did you get into wedding photography?
The first time I worked at a wedding was 15 years ago as a videographer. Since then, I shot lots of wedding videos, so the transition to wedding photography was relatively easy.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I shot my first wedding in 2011.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?
I think the key to succeeding in any business is hard work and the will of constant evolution.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?
Look for personal connection with the wedding photographer and his/her style, not for discounts.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?
I put all my efforts on my blog and social media, mainly Facebook.
Why do you think people hire you?
Most of the time, when couples hire me we get sort of a connection that goes further than just an economic transaction.
How many weddings do you average per year?
I usually do 22-28 weddings per year.
Whose wedding would you love to shoot?
If he had got married, I would have loved to photograph Freddie Mercury’s wedding.
If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?
I would love to shoot a wedding in Hawai or Bali or India or Tokyo.
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?
2 Canon 5D MKIII.Canon 35 mm. 1.4 / Sigma 50 mm. 1.4 / Canon 85 mm. 1.8 / Canon 100 mm. 2.8 macro
2 flashes, triggers, and other stuff.

What is the most challenging thing about a wedding.

Do you have an approach to a wedding?
I move slow and think fast. Moving from one side to the other is just going to make the couple and their guests nervous, and I’m going to get tired sooner (which affects my creativity).
Who or what inspires you?
I find inspiration almost everywhere: paintings, movies, books, music videos, nature.
Best & Worst marketing idea so far?
I think the best marketing idea is to be genuine and offer the best version of yourself to your clients. On the other hand, the worst thing you can do is pretending to be someone else.
If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?
Since I studied cinema at university, maybe I would be a film director.
Share your favourite image of the day and why?
The first-look was one of the most intimate and emotional moments of the day. The image of that moment was one of my favorites: the couple was separated by a translucent door and they were talking through it just the moment before they saw each other.
Do you have any goals for the future photography related or otherwise?
My short-term goal is to become an international wedding photographer. Hawai, Bali, India, Tokyo. :-)
What do you think is key to being a successful wedding photographer?
Hard work, curiosity, empathy, sensitivity and the constant desire of improvement.
Are there any other wedding photographers whose work inspires you, can be a well know photographer or somebody you've stumbled across?
I love the work of Jonas Peterson, Chrisman Studios and Fer Juaristi.
Proudest moment so far. Photography related or otherwise?
The birth of my 2 sons.
