Tell us a little about yourself??I have experience of over ten years as a photojournalist, nationally and internationally awarded. In 2010 I left the press world behind and started to work as a wedding photographer and I like it. Through my pictures, I try to keep your wedding moments vivid in your memory for the years to come. I have covered weddings in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France, so I am happy to travel in order to take pictures at your wedding as the traveling is part of the fun for me.
How do you think or would like people to describe you?It's hard to tell :-)
Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?Carolin and Austin, a beautiful young couple, decided to have an intimate and relaxed wedding by the wonderful lakeside of Bötzsee. Family and friends toasted in their honor and the party lasted till dawn. The wedding was followed by a photo session in the forward-looking city of Berlin.
How did you get into wedding photography?I photographed a friend’s wedding in 2009, enjoyed it very much and decided that that's what I wanted to do from then on.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?Since 2010.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?It's an ongoing learning process.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?n/a
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?I strongly believe in the word of mouth strategy.
Why do you think people hire you?They like my shooting style and the chemistry between us is important too. I am also very accommodating and open minded.
How many weddings do you average per year?n/a
Whose wedding would you love to shoot?Any couple that enjoys my style.
If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?I don’t have any favorites. Every location is special in its own way.
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?I work with Canon EOS 5D Mark II &Canon EOS 5D Mark III and three fixed lenses: Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L , Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM & Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L
What is the most challenging thing about a wedding.
Do you have an approach to a wedding?I like to catch every events atmosphere in the most spontaneous manner possible but I also have a sweet spot for the photo shoot on the wedding day with just the bride and groom.
