As a documentary wedding photographer, I capture real moments as they happen. My couples tend to be a chilled out lot, that want a fun chilled out wedding, on request I do shoot formal group shots but I do try and keep these to a minimum so I can go about and capture the story of your day unfold while you have more time to have fun with your wedding guests and enjoy the awesome wedding you have put on for everyone! I’m not the kind of photographer that is going to interrupt moments to take a photograph, I’ll be sneaking about capturing the laughs, exceptional dance moves, tears and back flips as they happen. When shooting portraits we’ll hop off to find some nice light, architecture, scenery or even just a nice wall. Whatever we have to work with on the day and the focus will be on you two and your relationship with each other, making each other laugh, messing about, just having a quiet moment together or all 3 three. I’m not going to drag you around taking portraits for hours, 15 minutes after the ceremony and another 10 minutes at golden hour if we have one is great for me. Of course if you are having fun and want to stay out a bit longer, I’m not going to chase you off! Portraits are really fun part of the day. A lot of my couples come to me saying they hate having their photograph being taken and usually feel awkward in front of the camera, so don’t worry if that sounds like you! We can get some beautiful natural photos of you two together, just being you two.
