You could describe Marco’s photojournalistic style with so many words. You could say that his photographs are spontaneous, naturals that arouse emotions which seize the moment. Capturing the details of the whole marriage and the atmosphere of the day.
Marco does not need any recommendations: his masterpieces are visible to everyone!
How did you get into wedding photography?
Before working in the world of wedding photography I worked in the bank and then as an event organizer. One day in 2003 I decided to dedicate myself to my great passion of a lifetime: photography.
Do you have a recent favorite photo that you have taken? Tell us how you took it and why you like it?
I am proud of all my photographs but perhaps there is one in particular that I like more than others because it was strongly desired, despite the contrary opinion of the bride who no longer wanted to be photographed. This picture represents my obstinance, the desire to always do well in my work, until the end.
What really gets you emotional when you’re shooting a wedding?
I love my job. it is a fantastic job, full of great satisfactions. Seeing the emotions of the spouses, their friends, their relatives, makes me love photography more and more. Every shot is an emotional moment and I know it will evoke further emotions in other young couples and grand children.
How do you put a couple at ease before and during their big day?
Not imposing on them. I leave them free to live their great day quietly. I like to become invisible, like an ordinary guest. At times they have told me that they didn’t notice me for long periods of the wedding day. Before the wedding day if the bride and groom want it, I shoot an engagement session so they can get familiarity with the camera and “break the ice”.
What is it about being a wedding photographer you love?
For me it means to give and to receive emotions every time. If my job become routine and boring then that will be the moment I stop.
What is it about being a wedding photographer that you don’t love so much?
When the bride or the groom do not see the creative side of my photography and think that I’m at the wedding just to shoot the pictures they tell me to. The worst moment is when they show you a photograph a colleague made and ask me to shoot something like that.
If you could change one thing about the wedding industry what would it be?
From my experience in Italy I would create a register of professional photographers with compulsory insurance, to combat the phenomenon of illegal work that unfortunately exists and damages those who have made photography their profession.

What is your favourite part of the day?
I really like to photograph guests arriving to the ceremony. This moment is full of electricity and anticipation. I also love the moment when the ceremony ends and everyone gathers to greet the couple, hug them, laugh together, share their joy and show their love. This is when all the stress and tension give room to pure happiness.
If I got married 1000 times, I would still choose Marco.
What tips would you give a couple on choosing a wedding photographer?
My suggestion is to choose a photographer for the photographic style and not simply for the price. It is important to get to know him/her, to talk to him about the day and their expectations.
Why do you think couples choose you?
For my photographic, natural and spontaneous style. For a true reportage photography catered to their day.
How do you relax when you’re not shooting weddings?
I devote my time to my family, my wife and my three marvelous children.
What are you looking forward to and why?
I hope to always have a recognizable style of photography from other wedding photographers because I think that the wedding photography sector is full of competition and the only way to distinguish yourself is to have a personal style.
