Tell us a little about yourself??I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
How do you think or would like people to describe you?Passionate about my work, outgoing, and laid back.
Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?I like to take a photojournalists approach to my wedding days and although I will do some directing during the formals and bridal party groupings, I feel that the best images come when nobody sees me capture them.
How did you get into wedding photography?I have a degree in Graphic Design with a specialty in Photography. I found that between the two, photography was always something that I was more passionate about and my hobby became my profession.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?8 years- I have covered 400+ weddings.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?Lots of dedication and hard workâ€¦â€¦long hours sand sacrificing your weekends are a must.
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?You really do get what you pay forâ€¦â€¦if your main concern is price, you will need to shop around a lot. If your main concern is quality images, then find what style fits you best and see what you can make work.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?Word of mouth and referrals have been great.
Why do you think people hire you?Because they know what to expect and photography is something they know will be taken care of and they won't have to worry about come the day of the wedding.
How many weddings do you average per year?30-40

If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?With winter in Minnesota, anywhere warm would be great!
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?I shoot with all Canon gear.
What is the most challenging thing about a wedding.
Do you have an approach to a wedding?Photojournalism.
Who or what inspires you?Weddings are great because they are always differentâ€¦..different venues, different couples, and different decorâ€¦..so I always have something new to look forward to working with.

What do you think is key to being a successful wedding photographer?Being able to relate to the couples who hire you and making sure personalities mesh is always helpful.

Proudest moment so far. Photography related or otherwise?Being awarded "Best Photography" in all of Minnesota for the past 3 years in a row. That is a huge honor.
