Tell us a little about yourself??I am a professional wedding photographer based in New York and photographing around the world.
How do you think or would like people to describe you?Creative, professional, easy going.
Tell us a little bit about the wedding day?It was lovely, laid back and beautiful. Full of love and special moments.
How did you get into wedding photography?I went to college for photography and then started my wedding photography business.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?For four years.
Can you share how you've made your wedding photography business a success? Any mistakes you made along the way?I have worked long hours and tried my hardest to grow my technical and artistic skills with every wedding that I photograph. I have always run my business with integrity, not taking any shortcuts… and I believe that is very important!
What do you think a bride or groom should be looking for and not looking for in terms of wedding photography packages?They should ask to view a full wedding for the photographers they’re interested in. Sometimes website portfolio give a false idea of the photographer’s fully wedding day work. Also make sure that they are aware of any ‘fine print’ that the photographer has within their packages.
How do you advertise yourself and what for you has really worked?I do some online advertising and some wedding shows… both seem to work well. I also receive bookings through referrals as well.
Why do you think people hire you?They hire me for the creativity and professionalism or the images. I believe they also hire me because they are comfortable with me as a person.

Whose wedding would you love to shoot?Any couple that appreciates and values creative, professional wedding photography.
If you were asked to shoot a destination wedding, where would you hope it would be?Anywhere! Traveling the world with my camera is my true love!
What equipment do you have for a typical wedding day?Two camera bodies (both Nikon). An assortment of prime and professional zoom lenses, batteries, memory cards, flashes and modifiers.

Do you have an approach to a wedding?My approach is to photograph beautiful moments throughout the couple’s wedding day
that truly show who they are as a couple. I want to tell the story of the couple’s wedding day through the moments that occur among their family and friends and the beautiful little moments that the bride and groom have between each other.
Who or what inspires you?Certain little things I notice throughout my daily life give me great inspiration patterns, colors, sounds, smells… the way light shines in beams through window panes, or the way certain shadows are cast. Beautiful light is a huge inspiration to me. Also, the people in my life that I admire and love, they are always a source of inspiration
Best & Worst marketing idea so far?Best has been online advertising. Worst has been paper advertising through the mail.
If you weren't a photographer, what would you be?Possibly an author.

Are there any other wedding photographers whose work inspires you, can be a well know photographer or somebody you've stumbled across?The photographs that my Mother takes as she travels the world inspire me greatly!
Proudest moment so far. Photography related or otherwise?I beam with pride every time I deliver wedding photos to a couple that tell the story of their wedding day for years to come.
